An important topic that is currently banned from these boards

This thread is a suggestion for a rule change that is desired from multiple members of these boards in regards to the currently banned subject (even in the off-topic section) of circumcision.

I propose that this widely misunderstood and censored subject be allowed on these boards because this subject has a direct and substantial impact on sexual function and the sexual relationship.

The current official SedFast rule states:

“Whether or not you are circumcised has no impact on seduction, and is off topic.”

But in fact it does have an impact on sex which is an aspect of seduction. Here are just a few of the ways that circumcision affects sex:

    • Loss of the lubricating gliding motion of the foreskin during penetration
    • Loss of highly erogenous sensitive tissues including the inner foreskin, frenulum, dartos band and Meissner’s corpuscles
    • The effects of the keratinization of the penis that occurs when protection from the foreskin is lost
    • Effects on erectile dysfunction
    • Problems related to circumcision such as tight erections, hair growing up the shaft causing painful intercourse for partners and reduced sensation.

Furthermore, it would allow members to discuss and be aware of the subject of foreskin restoration of which multiple members of this forum have partaken in and which national organizations exist to help those who have chosen it. I started a thread about foreskin restoration two years ago, which went well, only to have it locked and deleted.

It has also been brought to my attention that viewpoints are changing on this site and that the current rule banning its discussion is a hold-over from the old site going back to the early 2000’s. As somebody who has made studying this a part of their life for the past three years, I can say that viewpoints world-wide are changing as well, but particularly in the US.

I understand that moderators may wish to avoid certain issues that can cause debate, but previous threads on this subject have been well received. The subject of circumcision is in-line with all aspects of sex and ultimately seduction.

I'm circumcised... and the reduced sensitivity thing hits home for me.

For a while I wondered why it's always a chore for me to cum from vanilla intercourse. (Especially with a condom.) You know that quip from Mad Men... about why they advertise... that used to be a descriptive quote for why I seduce... until I found another source of motivation.

Yeah thank god indeed. Male genital mutilation, is what it is.

Uncut cock, thats how I like to say it, if I talk about it to chicks. My cock is uncut. They think its cool.

Guys have told me that they are worried that chicks will freak when they see it because they are only used to cut cocks. Not once has it happened to me. Its just a neautral observation at worst.

Guys don't understand how much girls are in my frame, by the time they are ready to get my dick. Gross story- I have had (newly picked up) girls suck my dick when I had candida on my cock even after being warned. Chicks have no standards when they want your dick.

I feel deeply harmed and violated by circumcision. I'll never be able to fully express in words how profoundly.

The realization I will never bring a complete set of parts to the male/female sexual union.

stefan molyneux has a youtube series about it.

it's a really traumatic experience for an infant to go through. 1/3 of the skin of the penis shanked off. the influx of cortisol to an infant is for sure traumatic.

not the end of the world to people who had it done though. plenty of world stompers got it done and studly pornstars of course.

i'm really glad I have mine though. and I have the choice to do it now if I want to as an adult and I definitely don't want to.

“Whether or not you are circumcised has no impact on seduction, and is off topic.”

Forbidding talk of "circumcision" (i.e., forced, radical genital reduction surgery) in in-depth discussions of male-female sexual relationships reminds me of the part in her book, Prisoners of Ritual, where author Hanny Lightfoot Klein recounted the experiences of European doctors visiting African countries (Sudan or Somalia, if I recall) to assist the local doctors. It was obvious to the Europeans the reason many local women were having difficulties during childbirth was due to their "Pharaonic" (infibulation). Yet, when the Europeans made their observations known to the local doctors, they completely disregarded circumcision as a source of problems as being irrelevant- like it was invisible.

I agree with OP- there has been growing awareness of the physical and psychological harms, violation of autonomy, etc., since the original owner put that rule into place. Not only should the topic not be forbidden on a forum devoted to male improvement, it should be talked about more.

Ask Harold Kushner how he feels after being completely and utterly humiliated in public by Christopher Hitchens when he tried to make a joke of circumcision.

Even the most pro-circumcision people suddenly stop laughing when their young child sees circumcision portrayed in a negative light and they have to explain their parental choice to the person whose body it actually affects.

I have spoken to many people on this issue, doctors and lawyers from different parts of the world, medical students, and parents. I can say that the American phenomenon of girls preferring circumcised is constricted mainly to those who have never even been with an intact man. It more so seems to be something they say to fit in among friends then anything that actually aligns with reality. I've talked with multiple girls that didn't experience their first orgasm until they were with an intact man.

For those men who are deeply affected by this, as was I, there are many resources out their that help from both a psychological and physical/sexual stand point. These are some of the things that I believe we should be allowed to talk about on this forum.
